Ozonator Industry ZA’s (OIZA) was founded in 2013. The founder Mr. Jeffrey C Block has over 50 years’ experience in the Construction Industry and ten years (10) in Hazardous waste management with intense research for alternative solutions to the treatment of HCRW. OIZA management is a directed approach to the systematic management of Health Care Waste from the point of generation to the point of final disposal. This includes the elements of generation, storage, collection, transfer and transport, recycling, reduction, processing, recovery, and final disposal.
Ozonator Industry ZA has developed all its products around the usage of OZONE to sterilize Health Care Risk Waste (HCRW), as well as sterilizing Health Care Facility wards and storage rooms which led to the establishment of the OZONATOR HEALTH CARE WASTE TRAINING ACADEMY which specializes in HCRW training to Professional and Non-professionals, earning the learners CDP Points accredited by the Health Professional Council South Africa (HPCSA) allocating 15 CUE and 4 Ethics Points.
At OIZA we believe that management of Health Care Waste begins when and where an item ceases to be useful for its intended purpose.

Manufacturer and Distributor Of Onsite Healthcare Risk Waste Treatment Machines by OZONE Technology
In 2015, OIZA came to the rescue to the South African Western Cape Department of Health when the National Supplier, Solid Waste Technology Infrastructure collapsed, them engaging OIZA to advise The Engineering Department, under Dep. Director Adam Thomas, to manage HCRW throughout the Western Province!
2. OIZA advised the use of storage shipping containers and supplied the majority of facilities with all containers, i.e. OIZA branded Box-sets, legislative Sharps + Pharmaceutical + Anatomical + Cytotoxic bucket containers, thereby establishing the need to switch to Onsite Treatment, simultaneously reducing the cost of cartage.
3. As in the Western Cape Province, the Onsite Treatment by OZONATION promises a COST SAVING of approx. 40% in Metro’s and 80% in District Municipalities, saving on high specialist transportation cost!
- HCRW decontamination by Ozonation requires no burning, thus no harmful toxins being emitted.
- OZONE is generated from ambient air by an Ozone generator, which once processed through the OZ-SERIES Machine, the only residue is: 1. OXYGEN – Ozone gas reverts back to Oxygen after 30 minutes of exposure to the ambient air. 2. The unrecognized shredded treated HCRW, is now no longer waste, but RDF (Refuse derived Fuel) which can be used as a raw product to generate energy – up to 36Mj/h in Boilers or Cement production processes.
- OIZA-OZONE’S 10 Year’s R&D experience in this “GREEN” technology, has benefitted many Police Stations Facilities, which was compromised by the COVID-19 Coronavirus, in the Western Cape between 2020 to current – Decontaminated by OIZA!

OZ_20 Series services a 480 bed Facility: It is our intention to start manufacturing the upgraded OZ-20
series which shall process 25-30 Kg p/h = 240Kg p/8 hr. /d which does not require an EIA in South Africa,
but can be licensed under NEMA Norms & Standards legislation as it does not exceed the threshold of
<500 Kg p/d – calculating 0, 5 Kg/bed/d average servicing a facility with 480 Beds.
Treatment cost of Onsite HCRW is ONLY the cost of electricity, average GBP p/kg, generating no heat, no
emissions, with the shredded residue to be utilized as RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) in lieu of coal for boilers.
Autonomous HCRW Treatment Unit: For remote hospitals or Field-Pandemic-Treatment – facilities,
treating Covid-19 / Ebola / Cholera / Measles / Chicken Pox etc., retrofitted in a 20ft shipping container.
OIZA-ACADEMY provides the required training on the machine operation. Our courses combine the benefits
of the traditional classroom setting with an option of on-line digital education, social learning. We also offer
First Aid Training (FAT), Home Based Care (HBC) / Community Based Care (CBC) and Health and Safety (H&S).
